A leading manufacturer of own-brand food products for some of the country’s favourite retailers, Samworth Brothers is probably one of the biggest food companies you’ve never heard of.
They recently involved all of their businesses in a company-wide exercise to examine their internal culture and redefine the values that drive them.

We unpicked the results of several internal workshops to develop a new brand purpose statement and a set of values and behaviours that reflected exactly what Samworth Brothers was about.
We took everything that was great about Samworth Brothers and condensed it into three simple cultural values designed to guide the behaviour of the 900-strong, multi-ethnic workforce.
People are at the heart of the Samworth Brothers culture. We found employees from across the business who had been genuinely touched by their experience, and made them ambassadors for the brand.
We created a comprehensive suite of collateral to deliver the updated cultural approach, and launched it at a two-day event attended by 250 key managers from across the business.
